ROLE PURPOSE

As a teacher, you are responsible for engaging students in the learning processes to ensure learner outcomes are maximised and the students have interesting, enjoyable lessons. English courses may include (but are not limited to) General English, ESOL, IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation, Business, Finance and EAP/ESP. EFL teachers may be asked to teach on any one of our courses depending on experience and qualifications.

You may also be responsible for occasionally helping develop materials and documents, testing students and planning and/or leading social programme activities and CPD sessions.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, appropriate to the
  • course and to the type of students, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
  • Keeping an accurate record of student attendance and other administrative duties as agreed with your line-manager.
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials including live online learning.
  • Attend meetings as required, to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged with.
  • Teachers are expected to be on site no later than 15 minutes before the start of their first lesson.
  • Teachers will have regular meetings with an Academic Manager to set objectives and measure progress towards those objectives.
  • A full induction will be provided to all new teachers, and regular training will be offered.
  • All teachers are expected to attend monthly CPD sessions, and DELTA qualified teachers will be asked to run development or training sessions as required
  • Take on other responsibilities as required to support the work of English Path Language Schools/GBS.
Essential Skills and Experience
  •  Teaching qualifications: DELTA, Trinity Dip TESOL or equivalent at Master’s level
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any subject
  • Demonstrable experience for similar courses
  • Structured and creative approach to lesson planning
  • A desire to continue to develop professionally and help support and develop less experienced teachers.
  • Experience providing support and feedback
  • Experience with distance learning and supporting learners both online and face to face.
  • Ability to work with classroom technology with ease and creativity.
  • Professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and accurate reporting.

ROLE PURPOSE

The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives for our higher education, pathway programmes and English language courses. You must be comfortable with working within a dynamic and fast-paced sales cycle environment, making cold calls, developing GBS English School’s channel of partners, qualifying prospects and converting enquiries to sales. Most importantly, we are looking for a committed team player who will fit in with the GBS organisational culture in this client facing role. You will provide a caring approach to all of your customers ensuring a personalised and positive experience

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold

            calls and emails.

  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Proactively target students through in country marketing channels.
  • Convert enquiries to sales and achieve monthly booking and revenue targets.
  • Liaise with academic departments and other administrative offices.
  • Maintain an awareness of UK developments in English language and the HE sector.
  • Work closely with members of the Marketing team as and when required including publications, promotions, market research, events and PR activity.
  • Liaise with colleagues in all relevant departments such as student services and admissions to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Keep up to date with developments in the schools’s course offering, fees, visa regulations, visa fees, medical or any other requirements as well as advice and guidance sought by enquirers and applicants such as the initial application cycle, processing time and clearing processes.
  • Take an applicant-first approach to enquiry handling and customer services, putting the needs of the student at the heart of all our activity and ensuring a tailored approach based on the individual’s requirements.
  • Support the College’s enquiries for UK and Dubai - International applicants, dealing with telephone, email, live chat, social media and face-to-face course enquiries in a timely and professional manner to ensure the delivery of an efficient, customer-focused service for prospective students.
  • Visit partners and attend student recruitment fairs in relevant countries.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Student Services Officer is a customer-service role that represents the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, assisting with all aspects of administrative support for the English school programmes. As a member of the Student Services team, the Officer is available at all times for current or prospective students with general enquiries. The role will also focus on ensuring students are in accommodation that best matches their needs and
nurturing strong relationships between the School and all stakeholders. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for seeking out areas where the school could improve on its service delivery proposition and driving and implementing change.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Student Satisfaction

  • Greets new students on their first day as part of their school induction programme.
  • Promote a customer service focused culture across the school which results in
    student retention.
  • Remains available throughout the day for questions from students regarding their
    courses, accommodation, and general wellbeing.
  • Helps to manage problems or complaints efficiently and effectively with support from
    the Head of Operations, Campus Coordinator and wider team.
  • Offers responses to students in a timely manner
  • Ensure student feedback is obtained in order to maintain the highest levels of student
    satisfaction
  • Manage post-arrival service issues and liaise with central staff as appropriate.
  • Actively assess and monitor the impact of Student Services across the school,
    making constant improvements based on feedback and anticipated changes in the

General Administration

  • Respond to walk-in and locally received telephone enquiries in reception.
  • Assist other administrative colleagues in collecting student attendance data,
    communicating with absentees and keeping the school’s system up to date with all
    student information.
  • Ensure service level agreements are met at all times, both internally and externally
  • Deal with visitors or guests as and when required as per the Schools policy
  • Develop a sound working knowledge of the company database, following the policies
    and processes set out.
  • Enrols students for their school onto the CRM as sent by the Business Development

Administrative Duties

  • Prepares welcome packs for new students.
  • Updates and maintains the School database with student details.
  • Checks all students have ID, visas or completed police checks in order to be compliant with UK legislation.
  • Updates the School’s bookings system with any course changes.
  • Takes payments for any extra classes or social excursions.
  • Maintain finance records for each student on the CRM
  • Ensures the reception area is always tidy.
  • Assists the management team with administrative tasks as required.Ensure that all students have up-to-date contact details, immigration records and a suitable visa to legally study at the school, that all student documents are scanned and uploaded and all passport and visa information is inputted.

 

Activity Programme

  • Oversees the school’s weekly activity calendar, in conjunction with other SSO’s and
    Head of Operations.
  • Designs and updatess new activities for the calendar each week and maximise
    student involvement.
  • Takes part in at least one afternoon and one evening activity each week.
  • Works with teaching staff to ensure all activities are staffed where necessary.
  • Create content for the school’s social media accounts and blogs based on the activity
    programme
Essential Skills and Experience

Experience

  • Relevant experience within the Education sector (desirable)
