Visa & Pre arrival

What items should I bring before leaving my country?

Here are some important things you need to know to make your arrival as smooth as possible. Use our checklist to ensure you don’t forget anything and are prepared for the exciting times ahead. 

(i) Checklist 

Here are a few important items that you should bring with you: 

  • Passport 
  • Acceptance letter 
  • Accommodation letter 
  • Proof of health/medical insurance 
  • A bit of cash and credit/debit cards/Apple or Google Pay 
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (depending on the season you come to London) 
  • Adaptor for electrical appliances 
  • Prescription medication and medical records 
  • Emergency information 
  • Toiletries 
  • Notebook and pen 
  • Backpack for classes, social programmes, and day trips 
  • Reusable water bottle 

(ii) Pocket money 

Recommended weekly budget: £150. This should cover expenses, laundry, local travel and activities. You will need additional money if you want to take weekend trips. Bring £100 with you in cash and a debit or credit card. You will need to check with your financial institution to make sure you will be able to withdraw money from a UK ATM. Do not bring foreign currency. It is not wise to carry around large amounts of cash. 

(iii) Clothing 

Most students dress casually for classes, but you should bring nice clothes for going out and sportswear for sports and outdoor activities. The climate is changeable and may be different from your own. The` typical temperature is 25-30°C in the summer and 2 to 6°C in the winter, although it can drop below freezing. Bring waterproof clothing if you’re arriving in the autumn or winter. 

(iv) Electrical current 

Standard voltage in the UK is 230 volts; remember to bring an adaptor with you or buy one when you arrive.  

Accommodation Options

What type of accommodation can you arrange for me?

English Path works with trusted agencies to arrange a variety of accommodation options for our students, including:
Shared or private, rooms or apartments, student residences, hotels, or homestays.

The specific type of accommodation that is available will vary depending on the location of the school and the time of year. Take a look at the accommodation section of our website to see a full list of accommodation or arrange a 1-1 chat with one of our Student services officers to discuss things in more detail.

Yes, it is possible to stay in your accommodation for longer than the course. However, this will depend on availability, and you might need to need to pay an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.

This depends on the type of accommodation you prefer, please have a look at the Pricelist section or contact one of our Student Services Officers for a meeting.

We will choose your homestay for you based on your requirements

We work with both directly recruited homestay hosts and carefully selected, accredited third-party accommodation providers.
Direct agreements: Many of our homestay hosts work directly with us under our supervision. We visit, approve, and monitor them regularly to ensure they meet  Accreditation standards. We work directly with some residence providers. 
Accommodation agency partnerships: We also use trusted third-party agencies to arrange accommodation. These agencies are required to meet the same quality and safeguarding standards. 
Whether your accommodation is organised directly by us or through an agency, you will benefit from the same high standards of care, support, and monitoring.

Courses and progress

What qualification levels can I study through the EP Pathway Programme?

Depending on the partner institution and destination, you can transition into a wide range of academic programs, including:

Undergraduate Degrees: Bachelor’s degrees in fields like Animation, Audio, Computer Science, and Film.

Postgraduate Degrees: Master’s degrees across technology, data science, and business management.

Diplomas & Foundation Paths: UK Level 2 National Diplomas, Level 3 Extended Diplomas, and Level 4/5 Higher National Diplomas (HND).

The pathway network accommodates multiple stages of academic advancement, depending on your current qualifications and career goals. Available entry tracks listed in include:

  • National & Extended Diplomas (Equivalent to UK Levels 2 & 3)
  • Foundation / Pathway Programs
  • Higher National Diplomas (HND - Equivalent to UK Levels 4 & 5)
  • Bachelor’s Degrees (Undergraduate)
  • Master’s Degrees (Postgraduate)

If a change in your classes is necessary, you can speak to the Director of Studies.

The students are asked to share their feedback on their lessons at the end of their first week, last week and also on a quarterly basis. During the Quarterly Feedback, the Director of Studies comes to the class and asks students to answer a survey on their learning experience. Then, they can also share their thoughts orally if they would like to. Following this procedure, any adaptations are made to the lessons if necessary.

Yes, for holidays or emergencies. Please speak to Student Services in advance so we can update your records. Holidays can only be booked as 1 complete week, Monday to Friday.

Yes, inform the student services team and we can help you with changing your course eg. adding electives or extending your course by issuing you a new invoice and confirming the booking once you make the payment either online or in school.
