My first job with international students was at Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro Residence, Caldas da Rainha, Portugal during the time when I was doing my bachelor’s degree. The experience of interacting with students from different countries was amazing for me and gave me confidence to move and live in another country. Moving to England impacted my life to do this job as I could be in the same shoes as our students, coming to a new country and learning a new language. During my time here in England I had the opportunity to work different jobs that made me live in many different houses, with very different people. That gave me a spectrum of the role that I'm doing now. Finding comfortable places for our students to have an amazing experience in a new country, learning a new language.

Communication between different cultures teaches you to understand people and their lifestyles.

The best tool to activate this experience is not only language but also living in a certain country or a certain city. I have been to many countries in continental Europe while I was studying in the UK. Drinking espresso and having pizza in Italy, tasting different croissants in Paris, and choosing a variety of dark beers in Belgium. For all of these experiences, you must leave your classroom to gain it. Please do open the door of English Path, we are more than pleased to offer you this opportunity to discover cultures between Eurasia and the Americas, such as in London, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Malta, Dubai, and Toronto and more to come.

Originally from Ecuador, Sammy came to Dubai at the beginning of 2022 to study English in a foreign country. She initially started as an intern assisting the Dubai staff and students with their concerns and wellbeing. As a Spanish speaker she has been able to assist a lot of students, of course, many of those being from Latin America. Sammy found it fascinating to learn about other cultures and languages through meeting a diverse variety of people, which has allowed her to gain a richer perspective on the world and that has certainly complemented her skills in her role. She enjoys spending her free time visiting the lovely beaches in Dubai, trying different cuisines, dancing and knitting.
